Default LED driving lights or light bar??

G'day fellow Jeepers,
We ll here it is again that age old question. But I figured it has been a while since anyone posted this and thought that there would be some great feedback on this subject and recommendations. So here goes.
I am contemplating on getting some LED lighting for my car. The thing is with so many suppliers and types out there I am getting more confused every time I search them.
What I am after is a light set up that will enable me to have a decent spread and distance down the road (I don't need to burn the eyes out of a roo at 1km) somewhere around the 600m mark, I think is sufficient. Does anyone have some proven suggestions for me?

Cheers,

scruffa

I just went through the same thought process and was about to drop some money on a 20" Rigid light bar, i ended up replacing the fogs with Rigid LED Driving lights as i would've replaced them anyway down the track so a good stepping stone.

I'm pretty clear on the thought that i want to light a track at night with good spread out wide and a 'bit' of penetration (...lol). I'm using the JK for touring and going anywhere along the way so a good night driving lamp will still be on the cards. I'm with you on the 'not wanting to 'burn the eyes out of a roo at 1km' I imagine i'll get a 20" bar on the bumper and make it quick disconnectable so it's not "always" on there.

I went with the driving beam and not the wide. I'm very happy with the output on these, you'd be suprised at what they throw out! You won't get 600m down the road though. I suppose if your fogs suck which if you have a jeep i'm sure they do, you're going to upgrade them anyway. I have Narva 7" upgraded headlights with IPF Fatboys in them so not too bad. The jury is still out on a good solution for light a bit further down the road though...

I just picked up a 20 in 180w light bar from Sunyee on ebay for under $200 with 2 year warranty. Bought a few bits from them and have found them great to deal with.

This is with it sitting on a chair facing the back fence approx 30m away:

Hi,

Can't go wrong with either - just depends what fits better on the front of your Jeep. As we mounted a bullbar, we went ARB LED Intensity lights (the smaller ones). The light is amazing, don't need another lightbar on the roofrack now!

Cheers,
Sally
