Elocker wiring question.
So I'm looking at putting the d30 Elocker in my '95 XJ.
Have just been looking at the wiring harness. it has a 20 amp relay with a 10 amp fuse.
Because the diff is on the same side as the extractors(v hot location), and the battery and main fuse box is on the other side of the engine bay. I'm looking at mounting the relay in the cabin. just running the load carrying wires out into the engine bay, from the passenger footwell. So I was thinking what is the advantage of using a relay? why not just use a 20amp switch with a 10 amp fuse?
As far as i can tell the main arguments for a relay are not applicable in such a configuration/installation.
Any thoughts or comments welcome.
