Hi everyone,

I'm about to commit to purchasing a scan tool. I want as much control as I can get for my money. My budget isn't set yet but I'd like it to come around the $500 mark.

The two I've been looking at are Autoenginuity and Autel MD802 Maxdiag all systems. I can't quite work out if the Autel will do as much as the Autoenginuity, so I'd like to hear from anyone who has either. If there's another option I could consider, please let me know if you have something and what it can do.

Basically I just want to avoid going to a dealer. Ever. I have the typical "service 4wd system" warning at the moment on my WH dash, which I believe was caused by a faulty ABS sensor, but my bluetooth Android unit is well out of it's depth on this one.

I have Autoenginuity with the Chrysler enhancement, it is an excellent diagnostic tool that will read & clear all CDJ codes including the CRD transmission. It will adjust factory presents like TPMS pressures & let you enable function on Laredo's that the limited has (as long as you fit the appropriate hardware).
You can enable function like daylight running lights that were never available on the Australian model.

The only thing I found it cant do that I wanted was change the tyre size, so I purchased a Hypertech for that & it reads & clears all codes too.

Another +1 for Autoenginuity.
I also have a Superchips Flashpaq (only for the Hemi engine.) for tyre sizes and doing basic things quickly on the road.

with the Chrysler pac about $500usd + postage. it was the same price when I purchased mine but the exchange rate was better.

I think Autel fully loaded is about $400!AUD.

Maybe look into BlueDriver. Check the comparability with your vehicle but is full featured with the JK - interrogates all modules. About $100us plus you need an android device.
