Default Soft Top Price and where from

I am about to pick up my 2008 Rubicon which comes with a hard top.
What should I pay for a soft top and where is the best place to buy one?

Thanks in advance, Craig

Best place is either here or ebay or gumtree etc. New you will pay thousands, second hand unused under $500 is possible.

Later year models may have an issue with the header bar above the windscreen due to changes if memory serves correct though, someone else will chime in shortly most likely! (I fitted a 2012 onto my 2010 no probs, just make sure you get all fittings including the roll bar attachment points if yours never had a soft top from new.)

I paid $300 for mine off ebay. The only reason I paid that much was because I offered him $100 more to hold it for me.

As Orsm Jeep said, don't pay anymore than $300 for a brand new top with all the hardware. There are literally hundreds for sale on gumtree and ebay as most people prefer the hardtop. I personally don't know why, I love dropping the top on mine every chance I get.

I put a 2014 top on my 2011, they all fit as long as what you buy has the correct brackets that bolt onto the roll cage for that particular top as they did change in the later models.

I gave away my last 2 soft tops for free :/
Shop around you can pick them up for peanuts if you wait

Ebay, gumtree forums, facebook. Often see 4 door ones for $150-300 (some crazy priced $500-1500)

Thanks heaps for your replies.
I thought they would be between $1,000.00 & $1,500.00 for some reason.

I may PM one of you guys soon.

Cheers, Craig
