Default mygig RB2 p/n 5091325AE

This is from a 2015 JK. Cant seem to get a definitive answer as to if it will work in my 2011 JK. Anyone know?

I do however think it would need a security code? The owner had a NAV capable radio swapped in when he bought the jeep and says that Jeep did not give him the code for the old one but surely it is in the manual for the radio?

cheers

You will have to ask the original owner to get the code. To get that code, original owner will need to go to jeep dealer and use the vin# to retrieve that code.
Otherwise, go to your jeep dealer and ask them if they can program that radio without the code, but i doubt that they can.

Just use the serial number of the unit and call the stealership with you Vin and tell them the units number and they will get the code sent to them from the states..

That's my advice as well. I've done this a few times with Ford dealers over the years and have never had a problem as long as you don't walk in looking like you just stole it

Default Does not work

So others know it physically fits plugs and all but will not power up. Must be a message format issue.
