Was just under my 97 xj Cherokee diesel looking at the starter to formulate a plan to replace it when I noticed glycol stains running down the engine block behind the turbo.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know where it could be coming from.
I haven't had the car very long and are trying to sort out all the issues.
Would be handy if I had an owners manual.
i too have a bad feeling about that but we dont want to make assumptions. i cant see any fluid there, can you see it coming from in that gap at all ? where are you located ? if in vic i have an inspection camera i can lend you
I'm in Qld.
I will try to get hold of an inspection camera over the weekend. Tomorrow I'll top up the coolant and get the engine to operating temperature and have a look. When I got the car the the temp gauge would go up just past the halfway mark. I flushed the engine and radiator and now the gauge only goes just past the quarter mark.
If I run with a loose cooling system cap the system will not pressurise and make it harder to locate the leak.
I was wondering if there was any Welsh plugs near the turbo.
