Default Wk2 battery

Gday all
Just a question about the life of the standard battery in a wk2 diesel.
My jeep is coming up to 4 years old now & I've had it since new. Have others needed to replace their batteries?
If so, what life did you get out of the original battery & what did you replace it with?

Good question.

I don't even know what A/h the Jeep's battery is.....

What is it? AGM. I presume.

What exact battery did you guys replace it with?

Cheers,
Sally

I replace batteries every 3 years (and i'm harder on them than most people, breaking all the old man caravan towing rules on using them).

I've got http://www.federalbatteries.com.au/9AGM49/ bookmarked for when mine is due for a replacement.

Please confirm your individual fitment etc before purchasing of course.

I've had to replace mine at around 2 years old. I went O/S for a month and when I got back it was as dead as a dodo. Called Jeep Assist and they came over (using Allianz roadside assist), tested the battery and confirmed it was knackered and they replaced it on the spot with a new one under warranty. Didn't see what it actually was but it's now coming on 2 years old and going strong still.

Thanks SD and Matty.

SD, thanks for the link. At least I can earmark one type of battery now!

Cheers,
Sally

Just on the subject of the wk2 battery, just wondering how you move the seat forward if the battery is dead? I haven't had to deal with this yet, but have wondered about it!
