Default Shifter Recall

Is there any news on this recall in Australia yet, if so has anyone had it done.

Hi,

Had ours done today - takes a while, whole new software thing they have to download direct from Jeep.

Apparently if you now put the car into D and open the door, the engine stops. Must try it!

We never had a problem with the shifter.....

Had the service done today and they said it had been out only a month.

Glad to get it done at the same time!

Cheers,
Sally

I believe it is open the door and have seat belt undone, it will automatically select P. I haven't had it done, seems a bit redundant....

Just had the recall done. If you are in drive and open the door it automatically selects park. Also if you have QL you will notice different notifications when raising or lowering on the dash as it has a symbol of a car instead of the words.

Thanks Mike - we do have Q/L - must try it!

Forgot to do it yesterday when coming home form the dealer.

Cheers,
Sally

That depends on your year. I have a 14 built my15 and that already has the car symbol with the up and down arrows.
