XJ Bullbars

Can anyone tell me what is different between the ARB bull bars for the XJ pre and post update models? Did they do something silly and change the mounting points or something?

Cosmetically they look exactly the same?

Mounting points are the same. The ends that wrap around the front guards are different. A pre update bar will fit an update model and can give better clearance near the front tyre for bigger tyres.

Thanks rusty, yes this makes sense. I recall the bar on my old XJ (96) didn't go all the way to the tyre like the update bar.

If this is the only difference that I wouldn't mind fitting up a pre update bar to my current XJ (2000).

Just gotta keep an eye out for one now! (like everyone else who is doing the same thing buy the look of it)
