That seems odd. I remember when I bought my 2012 Overland they told me what Mousie said, he went to show me this little hidey hole but because it had quadra lift it's basically filled with wires. He mentioned it was empty if you don't have quadra lift????
to scared to look at mine but there is probably some petrified McDonalds fries, a wad of dog hair and a couple of dollar coins maybe. They all seem to get in anywhere
