Default Facebook KK group

Hi all,
for those of you who also use Facebook, I just found the "It's a KK thing" FB group. I've just joined. If you see anything interesting on the group, then post a link here in the forums! just remember that it's a closed group so links will only work for those people who have joined the group. There are mainly US guys and girls on there right now, so I am joining to show them how Aussies do it

Happy KKing.

This group popped up on my Facebook wall this arvo. I've joined also.

What do you blokes run wheel/tyre wise on your kk's. I've currently got the stock 18" wheels but want to put AT's on but there isn't much around and i can see that alot of blokes have put on 16" wheels.

Would appreciate some feedback.

Unfortunately, I think that is true in the long run. Forum technology has not kept up with the times in some respects (people like to share things, have a "feed", and have a responsive visual experience that works just as well on tablets and mobiles too). Forums still have a role to play, though. They have more of an archival nature about them that allows people to easily search old threads for howtos and so forth. Facebook is more about what is happening now and not about finding information in the past. Of course, you can do it, but forums seem better for that sort of stuff. In saying that, people clearly don't search for old posts before asking a question because we see the same questions being asked over and over.

The only way to compete, in my opinion, is to follow suite. Start up an "Aus Jeep Offroad" group and even specialised ("Aus Jeep Offroad - KK") groups. Then if people do leave the forums, at least you keep the audience using a different medium. I guess that is more difficult to monetise though.

Just a thought.

This site is only monetised to keep it live. There is a FB group that incorporates all of Ausjeep but as you say, people like their ability to have live comments and see the reply notifications.

If Tapatalk pulled their fingers out and actually supported vbulletin better then it would make life so much better but unfortunately it's lacking, useable but only just.
