Smile mix and match lift kit

Hi guys, im in the midst of lifting my car FINALLY! and have seen a few kits like the OME, dobbis and CRDStu ones but wondering if anyone has mixed and matched brands by making there "own" lift kit in terms of for eg, buying dobinsons 2" raised spring and putting on koni shocks or bilstein shockers, if so what did you guys do, how would you rate it and how much did it set you back?

(BTW this is regards to a 2" lift, nothing over the top)

I just bought the Dobinsons 2" coils for the front, haven't installed yet, very happy with them in my Patrol, so thought might as well upgrade the Jeep also. I'm running Bilstein shocks too. Nothing wrong with mixing and matching.

I've decided to go down the dobbinson's 2" or 40mm lift springs to get technical for $380 which im happy with just trying to find some decent shocks/struts without putting a hole im my wallet which has become the tough part. Got to say I've been in a few patrol's with dobbinson's lifts and man are they a pleasure to drive, hopefully its the same for our jeeps!

I have the standard duty King springs in my WH, and Bilstein B8's. B8's are great, you can adjust the front ride height like a coilover.

I'm finding on some deep bumps that the front doesn't settle as quick as the rear. When I get home I'll contact King to see if it's a spring rate issue.
