ECU problem

Hi all, I've got an issue that I'm someone might be able to provide some suggestions. My 98 ZJ ignition failed when I was driving from Gold Coast to Sydney, no problems leading up to this. I took it to a mechanic/auto electrician and they advised;
No output from coil, suspected ECU, test wiring to coil and ECU. Fault codes in ECU P0351 Coil. Supplied and fitted repaired ECU. Vehicle started and ran for a period of time but intermittent fault has possibly caused ECU to short (became hot) as suspected initially and now vehicle wont fire and run. They checked the earth wiring and all was fine.

They advise me we don't think we'll be able to diagnose, we're concerned about time and also ongoing failure of ECU after fixing it again.

I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Sydney so if anyone could suggest an auto electrician or mechanic who you think might be able to diagnose would also be appreciated.
