5mm is not a lot but it really depends on the style of transfer case is installed, most full-time 4wd vehicles have a transfer case that has the ability to allow different driveshaft speeds from front to rear. On most models the different driveshaft speeds once they exceed a threshold is detected as wheel-spin that will cause the system to direct torque to the slower turning shafts.
But as I said it is not a lot of tyre diameter difference and in normal driving even with perfectly matched tyre diameters the front and rear axles will turn at slightly different speeds due to steering inputs which change the various axle rolling radius.
