Unhappy GC WK2 Fuel Economy Indicator

Hi All, just bought a 2015 WK2 Petrol V6 3.6 Pentastar and 1st time own a Jeep.
Been using it for 2 weeks driving around the city only, I've noticed that the fuel economy is quite poor.
I was comparing to another review with the same jeep model, mine average shows 23.5lt/100km and others said around 11-16lt/100km, it's been bothering me for this couple days looking for an answer but no luck.
Please, I need help from any of you guys who own a GC WK2 or Jeep Expert
What could possibly cause this? Is this normal on GC WK2? Should I calculate it myself?

FYI I was driving on 60km/h max, never accelerate aggressively or had any sudden break/stop.
Drive in the city only, sometimes idle for 10 mins. Using D mode with the Eco ON.
Tyre pressure average 2.5-2.7 bar. Aircon always off. Unleaded 91 full tank since pick up.

I'm not at all familiar with newer Jeeps.

I don't know if the elapsed time is engine running time or ignition on time. If it's running time then 135.8km in 12½ hours is an average speed of only 11kmph so your high fuel use could be down to that. Perhaps when you have some time you should reset the meter and go for a bit of a drive involving some motorway miles. That would give you a good idea of whether your MPG is good or bad at a higher average speed with less start/stop. If it's good in those circumstances, it just means the driving you do is the main factor. If bad, then there needs to be further investigation into the cause.

For comparison, in my TJ I wondered what engine hours were between services, as some of the vehicles at work have hour based service schedules. I put an hour meter on the ASD output so I know my average hours per 5000 miles is 200. So per engine hour average speed is 25mph/40kmph. My average fuel use is 18mpg(UK)/15.7L/100km(before recent engine rebuild).

After driving the car for say 15 minutes does the temperature gauge sit any higher than it does in the pic?

Thanks for the response Jonny, I think it's a ignition time according to what I've been read from another source but CMIIW. But does the ET will affect the fuel mileage calculator??
Ok I will try to reset when using highway and then compare the fuel consumption, I'm just afraid I bought a GC with 'one of a kind' poor fuel milage

Thanks for the response TRLaredo, the temperature gauge mostly only sits right there, is it normal? The temperature where I live mostly 10-18"C, not towing anything.

I thought the temp gauge might sit one line higher towards halfway. When driving have a scroll through the EVIC display to see what the engine oil temp is reading - the temp should be somewhere around 90-95 deg C / slightly hotter that then engine cooling water temp (90 deg thermostat). I was thinking if the PCM thinks the engine is running cold (warming up)them it might be running a richer fuel mixture. Also clean off the tail pipe & then check for soot/rich running after a days driving. Dodgy O2 sensors can also cause increased fuel consumption but I would expect those to throw a fault code when they go out of tolerance

Good spot on the temp gauge. Maybe the thermostat is stuck open/incorrect temp spec so engine might not be getting up to temp properly which wouldn't help things.
