More power for towing mostly but also just to let the engine reach more of it's potential. The unique thing about hemi engines is their heads. They have very well designed cylinder heads but the 5.7 has a very conservative camshaft which makes sense since it's a luxury car at the end of the day.
The cam I am swapping to is crazy cheap but equal quality although it will improve top end performance I am not expecting any degrade in performance low down. Time will tell.
What started me down this road is that i had a ticking lifter, so I was going to pull it down to change the lifters anyway. Might as well make it better.
