I hope the image has come through, I find the whole photo thing very awkward to use. Just made these, 32 NB pipe 3.2 mm wall thickness, very similar to the smitybulit ones but I made them to clamp to the chassis not tech screw. Picked them up from the powder coaters today, just waiting for the plastic end caps to arrive then I can fit them.
Her are some Pics while I was making them. I have a Shrpwrax roof rack coming soon too, it is currently on order. I think the sliders and rack should look good together. Next project is rear bar with wrap around corners out of the same pipe.
I made my own like the poison spyder sliders. 4mm plate bent to 90 degrees, used all 3 body mounts, and the spipe is 44mm 5mm wall hydrualic tubing. Have winched off them, mounted rocks, slid until the cows came home and no problems.
Do you have any trouble with mud and rubbish getting stuck in and behind them. They certainly are heavy duty. Do they mount between the chassis and the body and does this effect the movement between the body and the chassis. I am always after ideas
I put the double sided foam on the inside before i screwed them upto the body. The ones on the body mounts, i put a slot into the sheet so i undo the body bolts, jack the body up and just push the sliders in. they give more clearance then tube type on the bottom of the body, and 4mm plate gives plenty of protection to slide and protect if needed.
