Default Source for service parts

All the TJ's are starting to get long in the tooth and the amount of servicing and maintenance is probably going to start creeping up and I was wondering if anyone had a good source for service parts (mopar or otherwise).

I'm in the process of replacing the distributor cap, rotor and pickup coil and I've found it a little difficult to source parts. My usual process is to search Quadratec for the part I'm looking for, find a manufacturer or part number, then search Amazon or Ebay for the part (as shipping is quicker/cheaper). The problem is that both Amazon and Ebay stock a very limited range of products, and no mopar genuine service parts.

Thanks to the eternal wisdom of our leaders the go-to-site for americans https://www.rockauto.com/ doesn't ship to Australia anymore (if they ever did) because of GST.

Is https://www.usautoparts.com.au/ any good? All the TJ service parts seem to be out of stock?

I have heard a romur that rockauto are going to start selling into Australia again starting the end of January, I hope so. Don’t discount searching places like spares box and other online suppliers, i get a lot of my common service parts from normal everyday online suppliers. Ignition parts, brake and things like wheel bearing are all generally available from aust suppliers.

Ahh awesome!

And yeah I've been able to source a lot of stuff from places like sparesbox but I've noticed that for a lot of the electrical components the american forums recommend using mopar parts only as the tj's are finicky.

I don't think it's the TJs being 'finicky', just poorly made knock-off crap made to a budget.
I've had cheap after market sensors fail straight after the box and others fail soon after.
I have no problem paying extra for genuine Mopar sensors but finding them is getting harder, although most of them can be found on Rockauto.

Finicky, I would say old school. Working on the TJ is like going back to the early days of my apprenticeship. Like a lot of things there is after market and then there is after market junk. Stick with the with the reputable brands and steer clear of no name eBay. Goss, fuel miser and brands like that have been around for years and offer good quality parts at a reasonable price. But like the rest of you I am glad rock auto is back.

Rockauto is the place to go for most spares specific to a TJ plus they often have the choice to select a genuine Mopar part

if you know the part number googling that often brings up some options like https://moparonlineparts.com/

the only genuine OEM part I have bought was a spare water pump that I used a few years back and a spare cam position oil pump drive assembly that I have not used, but bought because the 05-06 have trouble with these and now are almost impossibe to get except for after market. to date I havent used it.

there is also
https://www.jeepsareus.com/
https://www.morris4x4center.com/ they have diagrams with part numbers and options

https://midwestjeepwillys.com/
https://www.quadratec.com/

I've bought bits and pieces from all of the above over the years

other parts you can get local like DNA brake discs and Bendix pads, McKay radiator hoses. all have part numbers to suit our TJ Wranglers

I'm not sure how the GST works now with the purchase of overseas goods. I recently purchased a Super Bright Osram H4 light globe for my moto bike from an English auto light bulb specialist.https://www.powerbulbs.com/ cheap as chips and no GST when it was delivered to me, so how it's collected buggered if I know
