2.7 crd P2125 error and no kickdown
Hello guys. I got a 2002 CRD 2.7 Jeep WJ with the p2125 error.
P2125 ACC PEDAL POSITION SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT PLAUSIBILITY (WITH SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT)
P2125 ACC PEDAL POSITION SENSOR 2 CKT SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
P2125 ACC PEDAL POSITION SENSOR 2 CKT SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO HIGH OR LOW
I understand it has to do with the TPS not getting the right voltage.
Sometimes when I push the throttle the engine light pops up and I have zero kickdown and barely any power. When I restart the car and give it some gas while standing still or driving it works again and the light goes away. Sometimes I can finish a whole drive without it happening other times it happens the whole time.
A few months ago my wife came home with a puppy that liked to sleep under the car. So one day the fuel gauge didnt work anymore and I found out the dog bite trough it. I fixed the cables at the rear drivers side tire and it worked again. I checked all other cables but didn't find any bitten through. I tought maybe the dog had something to do with the TPS aswel. Like biting through a cable and it has connection sometimes.
I am just learning to use the multimeter and checked the guide to test the TPS. It has 5.09 volts when the car is in starting position but not on. This doesn't change when I hit it to simulate driving. I also have a new battery. I took the TPS out and sprayed it TPS cleaning spray and this made the acceleration improve but the problem still persists.
I would love to get some help.
