Default Tow hitch

What’s everyone using as a tow hitch?

I’ve seen ones like this: Smittybilt JK Tow Bar which are roughly $140 where the Haymen Reece is $689.

The haymen reece looks far more solid, but is it worth the extra money? Is it better?

My JK didn’t come with one so I’m looking at options for which way to go.

If you have alternated to look at halo for suggestions.

The biggest potential issue is ADR compliance in case of something happening.

Double Black have one that is certified for $183.

The DBOR hitch looks like one on Quadratec (without bolts) for US$56 approx. Would be about the same price to ship here form US as AU$183 DBOR want. Actually for this price if you look at Quadratec site )Hitches) u would get one with the bots and the wiring for about this price as well.

Be carefull with the US wiring kit as may not be compatible. US tail lights don't flash yellow. Look for euro compatible.
Or simply connect to your tail light wiring.

Ive just pulled my tow hitch off my JKU as I have replaced it with a rear bar which has one built in... if you're in the Sydney area you're welcome to pick it up for beer rates... You..ll need to get a wiring harness though..

Totally agree. Go with one that has ADR compliance. If you ever have an accident towing, your insurance company will just walk away.
