LED Lights and Clear Indicators

Using some of my spare time thanks to COVID-19, I complimented my LED upgrade with a set of Crown Automotive clear lenses (and clear LED’s for my front ARB Bar). Very impressed with the quality of the Crown plastics.

I like the roof rack, did you build it your self? I was considering something similar but I went with the sharp wrax instead. I did my own rock sliders but I Thought steel would be too top heavy for the roof rack. I did my own wind deflector and the light bar has made a huge difference. What are brackeTs for on the uprights for the roof rack?

I purchased the TJ near new condition from an older couple about about 10 years ago. They planned on putting a roof top tent up above and had the roof rack engineered and built as a one off. It’s quite heavy steel and they said it cost about $3,000 when they did it. It is nicely attached to the front windscreen hinges and welded fitting on the rear bumper where it’s also noted on. The sheet metal on the front of it is to stop air whistling on the highway but it’s also a great sun shade.

Forgot to add, the brackets are I built my own stone guard to stop my annual windscreen cracks on dirt roads. The upright Jeep windscreen cracks so easily from stones thrown up by oncoming vehicles.

I like looking at different engineering, next project I want to tackle is a rear bar to go with the rock sliders. I built my own hi lift jack mounts on the bonnet hinges , I was considering a vertical type mount on the left hand side mounting to the roof rack but opted against that.
