Wouldn't mind finding the same thing out myself in regards to TPMS, eg; If you purchase another set of wheels/tyres from a Jeep Grand Cherokee which already has TPMS fitted,
Will those new wheels work in sync with the display or do they require Linking or Configuring ?
The TPMS system will pick up the new sensors after a short drive, no need to configure anything. The sensors are part of the valve body so I suppose they can be transferred to new rims although they can be damaged easily.
As part of the deal when I bought my overland, I wanted laredo 18'' wheels.
The dealer hadn't changed them when I came to pick the car up, so they just took both cars to a tyre dealer and swapped the wheels over, no problem.
regards Russell
Hi , yes i did this recently to my 13 overland . changed from 20'' to 18'' laredo rims and now run 275/65 muddys . even in aero mode clears the guards and tyre sensors picked up after about a minute.
