Hi all, finally pick up my new rig this Saturday. It currently has normal highway/car tyres on it, but I’ll be keeping these on it until they wear out and need replacing. Just wondering if many of you do, or have tried, any light off roading with highway/car tyres. Thanks.
I replaced my original Michelins at 70000 with Hankook Dynapro AT'M 265/60R18 114T.
Have done 10000 on them and am very happy, good price, still looking like new and road noise and grip in wet and dry is good.
A good looking tyre also.
These tyres are in decent nick, so it’ll take a while to justify to the missus that I need new tyres(A/T’s of course). Standard height off roading with the front bumper on it will be interesting. Last fourby I had was a GQ Patrol with 4” lift and 35’s. Definitely won’t be going to the same places in this one
My mate has standard highway terrain Dunlop's on his FJ Cruiser. That's done fine on sand and a few rocky bits, infact he crossed the Simmo on them last year.
