Default Air Cond Cycling

Noticed my air conditioner cycles on and off every 15 seconds or so and as a result the fan simultaneously cuts in and out in sync, rather than just staying on, do you think its a result of the cooler weather, I got no leaks any where on the condenser that I can see, such as down the bottom corners,
Air from the vents is cold, thinking along the lines of might need a regas

Went to a a/c specialist today, and the two spots where they normally fail are all o.k. The 2 places are the bottom RH corner of the condenser and the (H) charge port where they sometimes turn green from leaking, all panned out good. Thank god

Just needs a service, Leak test, Flush the system of old oil, Replace the Schrader valves, New desiccant in Condenser New oil and a re gas Quoted $295

9/2016 Troutman Got informed today also, A/C should be serviced every 2 years !!
Seems a bit over the top to me, I understand if the pollen filter needs changing, then I change it but I never thought about having the A/C checked for charge only when the chill factor drops off and its not as cold as it used to be.

Don't get me wrong the a/c still gets cold, but not as cold as it used too, I noticed the compressor is cycling a bit too often also eg; as soon as it cuts in the electric cooling fan starts up, and as soon as the a/c pipe starts to get bloody cold the compressor cuts out, Happens at least every 10 - 15 seconds. A/C man said its low on gas.

Yep it certainly needs a run thru a service, my vehicle AC's run all the time and soon as they get the wobbly's in they go for a service and thats a proper Auto AC shop not a dealer, for someone who rarely lets someone else's spanner on their vehicle I know when it needs an expert, having had a fridge van Ive seen what happens and backyard AC jobs rarely work.... Getting in early is always better than letting things drag on, untold damage to seals and valves from running with no gas or oils, though I think if it gets low in these things it just shuts down.
