Default Select Terrain.

Ok, so I’ve worked out that to go into low range you need to put the transmission into neutral, and go between 0-5 kmh, and press the button. With the other modes, do you simply switch to whatever selection you want? Is there a certain speed limit you can do this? Do you have to be in neutral? Sorry for the stupid question. You can tell who the new GC owner is 🤦🏼

Other than Rock mode being available only in low range, the rest you can select whenever you like.

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking, but I’ve been wrong about many things that I thought I had the answer too. Most things I will do I could probably leave in auto.

The manual that should be in the glove box explains it all quite well..........its always better to be going slow without any load on the drive train except when going to low .

I’ve read the owners manual. It just tells you how to go into low range and what the selections are for. That’s why I was thinking it can just be selected on the run. Thought I better check first though.

Don't forget that as soon as you turn your vehicle off it goes back to Auto.

It's not a big deal but if on soft sand it can be a pain if you don't turn it back into sand mode.

Besides low range, does the rest of it make much difference when compared to leaving it in auto?
