Default Tie rod

What’s everyone running for a aftermarket JK tie rod?

I can only find the terraflex and synergy ones in Australia, and importing one appears to cost double the price when shipping is added.

Plenty coming in over the next few weeks available from jeepkonnection, dbor, SBR... some tierods require a better offset rim though...

Thanks Jeep’ers , have you got an aftermarket one?

Trying to chase down what people have and looking for feedback. I really like the RPM one but looks like it will triple the price landed so back to square one looking and researching for one over here

Sadly no, I have to save my pennies for new rims first, however I have upgraded my draglink, and done the dampener relocation and upgrade... upgraded the ball joints and brake lines

My tie rod is still dead straight so until I bend it I’ll keep saving for the rims first.

Some of the tie rods don’t need rim upgrade for example the terraflex and Currie versions don’t... but I have heard mixed reviews...

Thanks Jeep’ers , which draglink did you go with? You happy with it?

I might do the same then and wait till I bend it before upgrading.

Hi Mate, drag link and track bar are adjustable ARB ones. Due to availability as you have pointed out, and talking with a few vendors/ jk owners this is what I settled on... Definitely heavier duty than OEM and a little thicker... Suitable for 2”-4”.. Bushings/ joints seem to be better quality as well.

So Ive got mostly Aussie built now.... Old man Emu BP51s, Old Man Emu sterling stabiliser, DBOR swaybar disconnect system, ARB front track bar and Drag link (Just fits with OEM rims), CRDSTU coils, Braided brake lines (I think are JKS). SYnergy HD ball joints (Have been fine for 5 years now, will upgrade them when or if I need to). I was going to go with American brands like Fox as I had American products already in place when I did my lift but couldn’t / didn’t want to wait the extended waiting times on the products Ive wanted

I’m waiting for my control arms to come in, so I can get rid of the OEM arms and AEV geometry correction brackets, again are Aussie built from DBOR..

Ive found Bill to be very knowledgeable and has only recommended things Ive needed to replace despite me wanting to throw money at him, he has been very professional and recommended only the things I need to replace rather than than what I want (Unnecessarily) to replace.
