Earth point at rear of WG. Dual battery help

Hi,

I have acquired a second hand redarc dual battery isolator with cable to an Anderson plug for charging house battery in caravan.
It runs a positive to the Anderson plug but no negative back to battery. There is a short cable to where I assume it was earthed to the chassis instead of running back to the battery. Is this acceptable for this set up?
Where is the best place to run an earth to the body at the rear of a WG?

You should be able to earth it anywhere on the body. I drilled a hole in the body and screwed in a screw to secure the earth cable when I did mine. Or find an existing bolt or screw near the cable you can use to hold the earth in place.

I also installed a 50A circuit breaker in the positive line when I ran my anderson plug which costs nothing and protects against shorts.

From memory I used on of the seat bolts as an earth back in my WJ

X2 on the seat bolt. It's been very good. When chasing some whine in the sound system I tested resistance between the ground point and the battery negative terminal, it was negligible. The resistance between the amp grounding wire and battery negative terminal was over 10 ohms!

Me, I would run it to the negative on the cranking battery.
