WK2 Petrol 14 Misfiring

Hi fellow members,

My WK2 14 petrol has recently developed a misfire - no check engine light.
Its especially bad in hot weather
The left head cylinder has been replaced last 12 months.
It seems to get worse in hot temperatures also in 1000-2000 rev ranges
Any ideas what it could be?

have you determined which cylinder is misfiring

is there a fault code??

once you know the cylinder i would swap the plug and coil pack to the another cylinder bank and see what happens

could also try running some 98 octane fuel and see what happens.

how's you coolant level, the engine could be low and yet the coolant tank ok, do you have any leaks, could the thermostat be sticking

is the cooling fan working both speeds

if you are looking to diagnose your self do you have alfaOBD and the appropriate dongle , if so you can read codes, turn on functions like the fan to test.

actually looking back at your previous posts from February what happened with Zupps??

also is it a 2013 or 2014 model.

seriously have you been driving it in this condition since at least Feb this year?? what did Zupps say???
