Battery charger connection
I have attached a Ctek battery maintenance charger via leads to the battery. I was wondering if these leads could be attached to the terminals under the bonnet? This would be easier I think.
Is there any potential risk to electronic components doing it this way?

I've connected mine to the battery posts in engine bay many times and never had a problem. To be sure, I always attach the leads first, then power up the charger.

Shouldn't be an issue and have done it myself - their primary purpose is to jump start/charge the car and all wired be wired accordingly

Yeah I got my Leads hooked up using the supplied harness that remains in place, so I simply plug the Maintenance charger in, rather than connecting and disconnecting leads.

Its where you jump start the vehicle so not going to fizz anything.... I have power to the rear running form them and also have an anderson there to plug in a compressor or portable solar if needed.

One would think it is a great tapping point, to connect a secondary battery through, with an inline control module, so the start battery is isolated when the volts drop.

If I ran an aux battery I would run it thru a Dc/DC charger fed from these terminals and set up to activate only when engine is running with a solar input option, saves hassles.
