wheel locks
im only new to jeep so i need some help regarding wheel locks. i already bought one yesterday https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-...MtNmwtdjYtZ2Fz. is it really necessary to have one? thanks

Personal preference really, just remember, if your out 4x4ing and lose your lock key, thats a whole world or pain right there.

Simple wheel lock removal tools can still remove them easily without a key. However, I do like them as they are an added deterrent against wheel theft. I use them. JimmyB is correct, don’t lose the removal key. And don’t ever tighten one with a rattle gun …….

Not keen on them, however, most you can 'bang' a sacrificial socket onto the sucker and get enough purchase to get him off, unless it's ripped on really tight.

Unless you have aftermarket rims, I wouldn't bother. Not many people are going to knock off OEM rims unless they are desperate.
