What is a recommended battery brand and model for a 2020 Trailhawk - and cost?
Thank you.

I replaced mine not so long ago with a YUSA battery DIN85LH (DIN95L) MF from Battery World.

You are looking around $550 as you'll need an AGM battery due to them being located under the driver's seat.

As @Nanook stated the battery is a DIN 85LH AGM, expect to pay $500 plus for it but be carefull and read the label properly as a DIN85LH can be a calcium job and they tend to be in the $350 range, the Jeep must have an AGM no ifs or buts, Century/Yusa are made here in QLD and Excide is made in SA, I use them because no dramas having a warranty claim as they are widely available... though I have never had to yet.. Varta are German.

I picked up the Varta DIN85LH AGM from Autobarn when they were having a 30% off sale - if you can hold out for a sale, it's well worth it given the cost of AGM batteries.

At <2 years old is this a spare, or is a new one needed? Aside from alternator or other issues cooking the battery, I haven't heard of a single instance where these AGMs haven't lasted, at minimum, 4-5 years. Seen some guys replacing their first battery at 9 years - for myself it was 6 years.

As in a previous post - I was recently away camping and went to open/start the Trailhawk [11 months old] - and nothing! RACV came out and said it was at 5V. Jumped me and it has been fine since???

My previous GC was a 2016Overland and when I was in Kalgoorlie a few years back - same thing. Went to start the car one morning - nothing. Towed to Jeep in Kalgoorlie and they said the battery was dead!

It must be me!

Interesting! Could be a dud battery - unusual, but not unheard of - have you looked into a possible warranty claim? I know they're typically seen as 'consumables', but 2 years out of an AGM is pretty rare. A mate of mine was successful getting a new battery through warranty in his 18mo Mazda.

Ditto, same here.
Century branded Yuasa from Battery World
NB: the battery has a 36month warranty
