Default Jeep Specialist in Perth

All I'm looking for a specialist in Perth and came across SH Motors in Cockburn and I wondered if anyone had used them and what their experience was like.

I suspect my GC injectors are over fuelling and it's leaking into the cylinders and I want someone I can trust to have a look and see if they can advise me.

You're probably asking why do I suspect this? Well after my last dealer service at 80k km I stupidly agreed to an injector clean and ever since I've been getting ridiculous readings on the dash of 40+ l/100km under light acceleration around town. As soon as you back of it goes back to normal and cruises fine on the hwy but as soon as you touch that accelerator boom, back to 40+. It also seems to be down on a bit of power, hills it used to pull up fine in 8th previously it seems to need to change down and run at about 2000rpm where it was happy to chug along at about 1700 before.

I complained to the dealer about it and took it back in, they said there was nothing wrong but they wouldn't explain how they cleaned the injectors and I think because there were no codes they didn't bother investigating further.

Anyway I'm after a reliable mechanic SOR that knows jeeps.

Thanks GC Dingo I tried AZTECH but they didn't return my calls. trouble is everyone is super busy at the moment or home with Covid. I got it into SH motors at the end of the month so I'll see how that goes.

Overfuelling it will stink out the back and be causing problems all the time really, possible run on and increase the sump level, I think if they did an injector clean it would be more like a can sprayed down the throat or something chucked in the fuel tank, so it points to me like its crud on a sensor like MAP and/or MAF or they haven't put the hoses back on properly, I would be giving my sensors a clean, drown in sensor spray and let dry , a minute or so before replacing, checking air filter and all associated hoses are on properly including air box lid, I would also make sure the injector plugs are in place fully and the leads haven't been pinched or chaffed by the plastic engine cover, (something I have come across before) burn your current fuel load and refill along with a sensor clean might get rid of whatever they did...... An injector clean, a proper one is pull them out onto a bench, something I would only have done in a diesel shop when I won Lotto.....

As a PS to above................................ I was researching something entirely different and came across some info that points to your problem and it seems the O2 sensors could be causing the drama which could be the result of a can of stuff down the throat or in the tank and engine not given a decent run afterwards so the sensors are giving false readings ........ just a thought.

I was taking mine to Jeepkraft when it was under warranty but started servicing myself in the end to save some money. I think they are very hit and miss with people (i had no problems) and think have gone more down the performance car side now. I am 16k km away from 100km and was hoping to get someone to go right over car then but in same boat. Who to trust?
