Default Mass Airflow Sensor replacement

Well i received the new Mass Airflow Sensor I ordered from RockAuto...the part on their page and was noted to fit a 2014 JGC 3L Turbo Diesel.
That's all good, so I ordered one in my quest to sort out the sooty exhaust on my Diesel.
Set me back $208.91 plus freight....It doesn't fit! Though the unit looks identical to the one in the Jeep now, and fits in as it should, the connector pins are different.

See photos below...these difference was invisible when I ordered the part.
I have since searched other web sites for the part, one MOPAR site in particular does show the connector pins in the photo of the same part and they are the same as the one I have just received. Again that site says this part fits 2014 JGC 3L Diesel.

To send the part back to RockAuto is going to cost me the best part of $100.00...not happy Jan!

The top photo is the one in the Jeep now...the bottom one is the replacement I received. The plug will not slide on due I guess to the slightly different shape of the plug receptacle. I thought being there are 8 thin type pins on the replacement that might work ok as the original has 4 broader pins spaced about the same from each other.

Any ideas?

Check the old MAF for the Bosch/Mopar part number(s) then do a google search for those numbers. Looks like the one you received is an incorrect listing & they need some customer feedback to alert them.

Cheers

Your original MAF unit will have the Jeep # 68069532AA and Bosch 0281006247 stamped on it, that is the 4 pin MAF sensor, what you have is the 8 pin 68151956AB, as I have said many times the Yank JGC isn't always the same as the Export version that we have..................... Try Burson or Repco with the Bosch number and it should be around the $170 mark I believe.

Most sensors , injectors etc have the Jeep and Bosch part number on them.....

I would try for a refund as I doubt the part will fit any Australian JGC.
