Default Yengo National Park NSW

Great days drive for a stock TJ. Head to Wiseman's Ferry, thru St Albans to Bucketty. (Nice dirt road -very pretty dirt road follows river for a long time.)
Just after Bucketty , after the Yengo NP sign turn left onto unsigned road,
follow Simpson track to Devil'sl Rock -great views and Aboriginal Site then back track to Finchley Aboriginal site via Borre and Yango tracks. Again great 360 degree views from the viewing Platform just after the Aboriginal Site

Then take the Yango track /Howes track to the Putty road which is 30 klms of
fairly rough track . No trouble for a stock TJ but it was fun. Had to engage low gear a number of times and climb over a few tree trunks etc...

If you need more details send me note and I can give you more details. I did get lost a few times. Would not mind doing it again .

a Few Pictures - on the ferry

Hawkesbury River

Devil's Rock

Finchley Aboriginal Site

Views of Mt Yengo - Aboriginal legend has it that the spirit Biamie departed to the skies at the end of his creative tasks during the dreamtime, stepping on the mountain making the top flat.

Where would you recommend getting some really good maps of that area ... or is it fool proof.
