Tried folding the rear seat down the other day on the wifes XJ - stuffed if I could figure out how to remove the headrests to get the back to fold all the way down....is there a secret to this???
Oh yeah I wasn't smart enough to read the Manual at the time & too lazy to read the FSM now
yeah stevef your right, its the little round black bit, its a bit fiddly. other things is the bit of seat your bum goes on you can get that out also with clips at the front edge.
one of the black things turns the other doesnt, make sure your playing with the one with the arrows on it. does it actually lift up as if its goin to come out or does it feel like the poles are moving in the headrest?
keep twisting it..It should come out. If not..jiggle the headrest. Mine gets a bittempremental at times.. usually when I tilt the back and leave the headrests in.. so it leans against the front seats.
