Default WK has been confirmed.

The all new WK Grand Cherokee is due to replace the WJ Grand Cherokee as a 05 model. Up to this point Jeep has been very secretive in regards to letting details or pictures get leaked out to the public. Some things that have been strongly rumored and/or flat out admitted are that the 5.7L Hemi will be an option and that the front suspension will be independent. While most of the details are up in the air I would like to say that JeepsUnlimited.com has been lucky enough to get in touch with some one who will be able to supply us with pics. Due to restrictions by Jeep we will not be able to post these pics until Wednesday afternoon (4/7/04). Check back then to see Jeeps Latest creation!

Bill I couldn't get your link to load, must be down atm

The grainy b&w pic that i posted in my thread about the WK spy pics recently (pic has now been removed by wkjeeps) was not a photochop but the real thing. But those photos didn't do it justice say the people who've seen the real thing. I'll reserve my comments till i see the released pic & in colour i think.

These colour pics are from DC and of actual WK.

rear

front

early pic which is about spot on

quote from someone at carspyshots.com (apprently in the know)
...its the AAM 950. The ring diameter is like 240mm/9.45inches. the front should be an AAM 825, they use the 925 in FS dodge trucks. all with 30+ splines. Supposedly it's VERY strong and reliable.

Hmmm... here it is.

Yuk.

As the guys on JU say... it is now officially Jeep's worst looking car.

I really hope it looks better in the flesh.

Grab one while the Grand is still live axle..... the next one reputedly will be independent...like the new TJ replacement. Jeez Chrysler....what are you thinking???????
