Default Crd 4.5 inch lift

Just fitted 2 inch bb and 10mm spacer to ome hd springs against the advice of suspension specialist warning me of drive line vibes and steering death wobbles. Test drove it up the Bruce Highway and at 150 kph gues what no vibes and no death wobbles. Need to fit new shocks ome are to short (very limited travel). Car actualy drives better on highway than before and i havn't even had a wheel alignmet.

I also have a transfer case lowering kit but have not fitted it yet.

There is a litle bit of bump steer when going over bumps. An aftermarket steering damper might fix this if i can find one to fit. Ome no luck here.
OmeSD40 Arb say it is for L/H drive vehicles only.

Rear sway bar links need to be lengthened and i think i will try and source a larger bar for the rear. Car tends to roll abit when changing direction.

Will try and fit 265/75-16 once i have adressed these minor problems.

for the CRD owners, pop under ya jeep and have a look at the back of the transfer case and see if there is a slip yoke there...
dont want to sound like a sadistic prick but...
some problem dont start till a little while down the track.
ie. after a few miles..
when parts start to wear out prematurly due to sever angles that you put the joints under. eg... stock LCA's, and steering ball joints etc...
i only say this from pass experience.
it took almost like 3 months before i encounter serious vibrations
However, you might get away with it. not all jeeps are the same there are a number of WJ that has the same hight lifted witout problem till today that i know of...

ther other thing i like to know is that did you have standard measurements & final lifted measurements? if i remember correctly, Chrispy had HD springs and he only got 20mm lift.

anyway. it sounds great are you going to post some pics up?

Billst here are some pics of CRD drive shafts. Are these the same as the petrol Grands? Do you have a drop pitman arm and adjustable trac bar on your rig? If so what brand?
