Default Motor Washing [Safe or not..]

Can anybody tell me if it is safe to wash Jeep motors or not?

If it is .. is their any particular parts or areas to watch out for

sorry if this sounds trivial but I just want to make sure.

Regards Barry.

Do it all the time. Just be careful around the dizzy and leads and the oil filler cap. There is also a vent on top of the charcoal canister you dont want to fill with water!

Stay away from the TPS ( Throttle Position Sensor ) - it's attached to the throttle body. If you get fluctuating idle speed in a Jeep it's often because the TPS has been soaked or mudified.
