RIP Ausjeep XJ ~ The Photo tribute was very cool James and I (unlike sir camel who is not intouch with his emotional side but dose have a good taste in music) did shed a tear, the emotional attachment you flet to the truck would have been / is substantial it is a great shame to see it go that way – was not just another TJ . (WARNING Hic philosophically reminiscing) ~ I will always remember the night of "V" and no dose taking off from SUBURBAN @ about 10.00pm on a stormy thursday evening prior to that first Short Corse Event and driving to Brisbane in your XJ full of tyres and spares post the differential’s, cage + heaps more build through the night and big storms through the gold coast on to your place.

Could neve give up my XJ although it is looking very sad ATM in the corner of the workshop covered in dust infact the differentials neved found there way back under the truck after the old units (rear) went under yours, just finding time to work on the rig is a problem as customer’s rigs come 1st. We where looking at building something else but we are now going to “buggy” the XJ to much time and effort not to mention mega $ has been invested in that truck ~ so the sprit SUB-XJ started, Ausjeep XJ continued now again in SUB-XJ will live on.

Hic Blubbers in the corner . . . . . . . . . . .Enough emotional babel

yeah had thought about a buggy conversion to the XJ as so much money in it, but just bad timing for me to be able to do it, and at the end of the day all the money towards those diffs would be thrown away as i would want to run bigger diffs for bugger rubber.

i think last count she owed my around the 65-70 mark, which really hurts, a lot of those things have been onsold during the evolution.

i will be back, just wont be for a few months yet, and the next project will be a culmination of everything learnt on the XJ and will prove you dont need to spend hugh dollars to build a hugh tough rig.

oh i am getting emotional again......................bah!
