Default Tyres

any body running Bridgestone D694 At's?

any comments on how they ride, tossing up between BFG AT's or these in a 245/70 R16

Hi Fouros. There is no comparison IMHO.
The Bridgestones ride & steer very well & actually stick well in the wet, unlike the BFG's. Less noise also. BFG's may wear better tho. I have 1 customer heading past 80,000 kms on his 694's but another looks like only getting 45 - 50,000 kms out of his. Depends on the car & driver.
I have recently fitted a set of 265/65r17 694's on my Grand & they have proven very capable at LCMP & in Mt Mee forest.

did some searching on a US liberty site and came up with this

so a 245/70R16 sould be ok and give me 1/2" more clearance at the diff as the od on a SRA All Season tyre is 28.9" and the BFG or Dueller AT is 29.6"

gotta love the internet

I looked at going for those but remember that the liberties are higher in the states already. Remember also that you will need to get the speedo recalibrated. I looked into this and could not get the right answers so went for standards (235 70R Cooper ST)

your dealer should have a ODBII scan tool, you then give them circumference of tyre and revs per Km, and they should be able to recallibrate your speedo

there is about 1 cm difference between US KJ and Aus KJ as far as clearance is concerned,

If there is a little rubbing on the wheel well i could always get the heat gun out

i could always see if any tyre guys would let me do a test fit and see if there is any rubbing issues, (hopefull i know)
