Default Rugged Ridge flares

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything negative about rugged ridge flares.. seems their a new company making cheap aftermarket items for jeeps.

US$128 doesn't sound too bad for a complete set of 7 inch flares eh?

As per the Jeepforum link, if these are the OMIX ones then I have a set I brought back from the US. (The Omix website http://www.omix-ada.com/ mentions Rugged Ridge as a brand name so I guess so) I paid US$195 or something off ebay but then saw then for 150 so even lower is a good deal. They are reasonably stiff (a little more than stock?). I have rubbed mine up against rocks and no cracks etc though they have got a few small gouges (but so did my stock ones). I found that the fronts don't follow exactly top profile of the stock ones at the leading edge so it only just covered the edge of the body paintwork on the sidelip of the front guards. But hey I bought mine about 18 months ago and they haven't faded, fallen off, came with all new attaching hardware and were the cheapest I could find... plus they covered my tyres without using the rubber extensions.

And by the way, the flares come in two big boxes... too big for USPS. So UPS or similar freight will be a killer to bring them to Oz unless you can find a seller who will ship by sea. I was over in the US and jammed all 4 into one box and didn't get pinged for oversize baggge.

i have them on mine, just be warned that they DO NOT follow the same line as the original flares and if the truck they are to be fitted to has done any work the paint under the original ones will be damaged. When you fit these ones the top at the front is a couple of mm lower then the originals and you can see the damaged paint work..... if the paint work / look is important don't buy these ones, if i had my time again i would by the warn ones.....

My warn ones are a tad below the standard ones at the front as well.
