Default Intercooler hoses

Hi everybody
Another owner with the dreaded XJ Turbo diesel. Looks like I should replace the intercooler hose that runs from the turbo. It weeps a little oil and i'm told that they become porous after a while. Usinfg minimal oil between 5000 K changes so assume turbo seals OK.
Mascot Mtrs advise only new is Ex USA at $780 per hose (if want to do both)
Are there any aftermarket or otherwise hoses I can use? I notice somewhere that someone was geting some made up in alloy or some such.
What's the best advice I can get
Thanks

My pipes are now replaced with Mandrel bent mild steel 2" pipe. Cost me $600 all up, and should last for ever. Whilst the guy was in there he welded in some mounting brackets which stops the pipes from rubbing. Not at rice as polished alloy, but effective all the same.
