Default what do you think of my home made overhead console

well i started to make an overhead console to house my tx3400 with external speaker, the cb also with external speaker, 2x downlights to be used for map lights as the stock interier lights dont work so well why there behind you

Looks great - just needs some felt/paint/carpet and it's done... btw, you ballsed up the link to the picture... remove the .html from the end...

i just came back to do that only just worked it out been havin trouble thanks for that

yea im gana cover it in black vinyl to match the dash still have to wire up the swithches and put the cb in and thinkin bout puttin an elastic net underneath to throw my wallet in

thanks for that really have gotta work out exactly how to post pics i struggle well yea what does everyone think of my half made console ill post more pics as i get more done

is this a prototype?
MDF will not last in a vehicle, any moisture and it will begin to disintergrate. Vibration and ordinary vehicle movement will loosen screws and the whole thing is likely to fall down on ya head. MDF is for Kitchen cupboards not jeeps.
Good concept though, keep working on it you're on the right track.

Nice job, looks good.
Gildo has a good point if you are going to stick with the MDF at least seal it ie paint it. I think it would look really good if you cover it in material matching the roof lining, you can pick up some stuff at Bunnings that is cheap and will do the job nicely.
