The Tj 44 is coil sprung. So i can see you needing to do a 4 link with panhard and coil spring mounts.

Im not 100% sure on the D44 but does it have leaf spring perches? Because if not, it might be work while and cheaper so get some make up, shave the diff and weld the new perches on with the correct pinion angle and alls good.

Yeah i know the TJ is coil sprung mate i was actually asking how much trouble people had cutting the old mounts off and installing them on the D44, i know it would involve cutting the spring perches and shock mounts off and welding em on the new diff. but it all has too be aligned right and right angles, just wanted too know how hard it was

i see it as simple as a plasma cutter or oxy cutter, cut the mounts off and grinding the rest off. get new ones made up.. (just a simple c section with rounded mount for axle tube and lacting hole) putting the axle under the making sure its centered and rotating the pinion till its nicely lined with the tailshaft and while the brackets are in the locating holes of the leafs and centered on the axle. just tack them in. roll the axle out and weld the rest up. then just weld some shock mounts.

It is as above and not hard at all. I will do a write up on it one day soon as have all the specs etc to do it. I used RE anti wrap spring perches and made no shcks mounts from a single extra mount cut in half.

These help prevent axle wrap or tramp as are longer. Just be mineful though of the extra height you gain from the bigger axle tubes and the perches themselves. Gives you around 1/2"-3/4" extra.
