Brake Pulling to other side
Hi Guys, yep it's me again
after i fix the noise problem by replacing all of the front bearings, i found out the car start pulling to the left when i'm braking say about 60kms. i have pulled everything apart to make sure i fit correctly and there's seems nothing wrong and the car wasn't like these before? what should i do? should i replace the brake fluid? i saw the diy on go jeep web but it doesn't mentioned what size of key i need to use to bleed the brake and where do you buy those diy brake kit as i went to repco they didn't sale them
cheers

The bleed nipple just needs a spanner to loosen it? No key. You can just use a hose into a bottle that already has some old brake fluid in it or none at all if you have someone else doing the pumping while you close the nipple each time before they lift their foot back up.
You should change the fluid anyway but dont think it will help you this time with pulling to one side. Usually the slides are pitted or more likely still, the piston has cocked in the caliper. They have a bad habit of doing this as have only one large piston which cannot even fit evenly in the centre of the pad. So often when the pads wear down, they cock or jam. That is the reason I changed to twin piston calipers so they wont do that.
You will need to change the caliper otherwise and I have several good ones second-hand it you want to buy one.

Thanks for your input.
But the brake pulling to the left side happened just after i installed the left hand bearing it didn't happened before? could i damaged the brake piston? or i just need to bleed it?

Well the other thing it could be is that you have fitted the wrong hub! In 99 there was a change in the offset of the hub by only 5 mm, so someone may have given you the incorrect one? See my site on hub fitting as right at the bottom it shows the differences.

They look exactly the same but one will have longer wheels studs and centre spigot. Measure both to make sure they are the same.
