Default Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy

I have another question bout one of my car's 'character flaws'. This I only noticed the other day but knowing me its most probably been there for a while and Ive been too busy listening to my boom tish music or something.

My car feels like its bouncing alot. If anyones driven a car with a strut front end with worn struts, it feels like theres alot of movement. Its weird.

Its had new shocks like 10,000kms ago so im thinking that maybe the springs are a little tired?

the rear springs have sagged a bit I reckon (i towed my brothers v8 valiant on a car trailer recently and she certainly dropped in the ass)

So Im thinking of buying another set of front springs to see if that solves the problem. Ive hard that TJ springs will lift it a little and are more firmer but i dont know how true that is.

also, off subject but its on my mind at the moment. Im building a trailbike/quad trailer to tow behind the cherokee and I just wanna know whether anyones ever run like a trailing arm 4 link setup in a trailer? Im using a late model magna rear beam axle thats been widened with disc brakes and panhard bar and im using shock absorbers and all that stuff. The whole trailer chassis is being renewed because its utterly stuffed and Im just thinking that a trailing arm system might be nicer? otherwise I might copy (sorry) gojeeps use of the cherokee springs.

anyway thanks for that

Steve

Haha.... Ive not had a car with so many 'features' like the old jeep.

Then again..... Ive not had a car that I have had this much fun in so Im not complaining. If I want nice, I drive the Verada. If I want fun, I drive the Jeep.

This sums it up

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...3560379&q=jeep

On a serious note, I've replaced everything - coil springs, leaf packs, shocks & panhard rod. It is firmer now that it was before, but its still "bouncy and fun". Especially compared to our 2 other cars which have sports road suspension.

It doesn't sag anywhere as much as it used to when I tow though, which is the main reason I did the lift in the first place.

BTW, TJ coils will lower the Cherokee and not raise it.
