Default Go Cadel !

While the other Aussies have had a bad Tour de France,Cadel Evans has got himself into second place,1 min down.

Plenty of cycling fans on AusJeep Hope you're all watching.

Should have used his MTB skills and carved up the downhill road section harder last night. Slidding in the wet around the corners foot out. Would of been sweet.

A long long time away in a distant galaxy (ie before I got old and fat and liked beer too much) I went MTB'ing with Cadel a few times. I was fit (and competed at club level) but DAMN he was fast and good (and mega fit). Rode rings around me.

He'll do well, and if he comes off he probably wont feel it, unlike the 'hard core' road cyclist sissies.

more of a mtb fan myself ...
but TourdeFrance is something i've always enjoyed watching , even better knowing that Cadel was from the fat tyre brigade
also helps that i get home from work when the telecast starts

On another note , Borat would be proud as Team Astana is doing really well atm ... how quick was they're #1 all battered and bruised in the TT

anyone see the Borat d00d running alongside last week on one of the climbs in his mankini .... classic

tonight should be good as the mountain stages start ... my fav

I was just about to start a TDF thread a bit late but too busy watching this year. Anyways how good has it been shame the aussies have 4 dnf's I thought doger was a top chance the way he stuck with raz a mataz in the hills. If Cadel grows some coconuts and attacks in the pyrenees keeps away from kloden and vino I would say it is safe money that he will win it it. Know after a statement like that I hope I diddn't just spoil his chances.
