Default Dying Batteries

The batteries are dying in my Jeep... put a new one in... and it dies.. whats going on? when i park it.. nothing seems to be still running.. i dont understand.

its leaking an earth somewere. this is a Auto elecys job right there. took us a long time to realise that someone put a part in my car which snipped a wire and created a bad earth and kept draining the batt.

Thought as much... as the alternator is definately charging the battery.

Do you park it on a hill overnight, or a slope? The underbonnet light (if you have one) is activated by the angle it's on and it's not unusual for them to come on and stay on overnight eventually killing the battery.

Is there a large spark when you disconnect the battery? What you could do is pull out all your fuses then put them in one by one to see which circuit causes the spark. That will narrow down the search area.

you could also put a multimeter accross each fuse holder with the key out of the ignition and see if you get voltage where you shouldn't

Thanks guys, ill try your suggestions... if that dosent work i might take it to an auto electrician.
