What do you reckon the best fridge is all round

Current draw, reliability, how robust etc etc

Got a waeco 35l is a great performer

would recommend 40 or 50l

i got a waeco 35l as well. had an engel and rekon the waeco is the way to go.

I can't really say much about the waeco as never had or used one, but the engel, well I cant say enough. I work for a company that sends guys remote, I mean real bush, yes including me and engel is all we use, got a whole fleet of them. Had them for years, they just never die. Had one in a vehicle that got swepped down stream in a flooded river (cyclone) when the guys opened the backup to get the sat phone out (the water rushed in) the 40L engel was floating around in the back. When the vehicle was recovered we thought the fridge was a write off for sure. Got it electrically tested, all ok then plugged it in, up she fired. That was in Nov 06 & it is still icey cold today.

They are expensive tho, so if you only use them when you go camping (once or twice a year), not every day like us maybe go for something a little cheaper. But if you want something bullet proof & have the coin id go an engel.

got a waco cf50 good fridge no complants about it :)

mum n dad have a engle bout he same size as the waco and have had it for at least 20 years now (had the motor replaced once) and its stil going :shock:
