Default Superchargers universal?

hi
i have a 2000 jeep cherokee 4.0l.
i've seen superchargers for sale quite cheap on ebay.
what components are needs to make them work on an XJ or do they need to
be purpose built?
i don't want to pay $5000+ for an avenger or whatever else is specific to jeeps.
just wondering if there was a cheaper way out that would cost about $2k or so...

thanks!

If you want to do something cheap then research the Toyota SC14 superchargers.
You will need to fabricate a bracket and pulley.
You need to size the pulley right to ensure it is spinning within its limits (11,000rpm or so) and is making 7psi or so from the 4.0.
Then work out all of the piping required for air in and out.
After that it would be advised that you would need some sort of air /fuel management and timing retardation.
Apexi SAFC-2 will suffice for air/fuel and I think MSD or someone makes a timing regulator that you could use.

Then get it dyno tuned and you are done...

cheers

I have not actually done this mod at all but did research it quiet extensively a while ago.
I will do a supercharged LS2 swap when the time comes
